Founders’ Story

Tranquil Essence was born from both shared purpose and a shared path. As life partners and professionals in community health, their journey began at a Federally Qualified Health Center in New York—Eileen working as a dedicated case manager, and Rahmell serving as the center’s compliance officer. While their roles were different, their mission was the same: to uplift and advocate for marginalized communities. Eileen worked directly with clients, offering support and vital resources, while Rahmell pushed for policy change at the state and federal levels to ensure ethical, compliant care for every patient.

What connected them most deeply was their personal experience with mental health and a belief that true healing goes beyond traditional approaches. Their individual journeys led them to explore holistic practices—sound healing, mindfulness, journaling—which profoundly shaped their own healing and growth. They knew then that their purpose was not just to work in this space, but to create something of their own. Together, they founded Tranquil Essence, Inc. in Baltimore City, a place they saw as rich with culture, resilience, and need. As the holistic arm of their licensed treatment program, “Tranquil Mindz”, Tranquil Essence integrates Eastern and Western healing modalities. Their goal is to build a sanctuary for healing, resources, and education while growing a network of holistic healers and mental health professionals dedicated to transforming lives in Baltimore and beyond.
